Orange’s new “Bebo Extra” plan gives users access to Bebo for £3 a month

Bebo social network logoOrange has partnered with Bebo to provide its users with unlimited access to the popular social network in UK. Under the new plan called “Bebo Extra”, the carrier’s subscribers will be able to comment on their friends’ profiles, send Bebo mails and receive profile notifications.

Orange is betting on the huge popularity of Bebo among the British youth, who are also known as heavy users of SMS. The deal could end up as a win-win for both parties involved — Orange will get additional £3 (about $6) per month, and Bebo more loyal customers, and I guess piece of the profits. We’ll see where this goes…
