If you’ve been drooling over the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95 but haven’t been able to muster the $700 entry price for the North American N95 with US-friendly 3G frequencies, here’s some good news. TigerDirect.com has the Nokia N95-3 (the N95-3 is the US version, while the N95-1 denotes the European version), for the low, low price of $599.99. We’ve been scouring the nets for a cheap US-spec Nokia N95, and Craigslist and eBay
both lose out to TigerDirect.
Stefan already covered what the differences between the Nokia N95-1 and N95-3, but here’s a quick rundown. The Nokia N95-3 trades a camera lens cover for a larger, much needed battery, the Plum battery cover has gone Black, RAM has been doubled, and the WCDMA radio now works on the US-friendly 850 and 1900Mhz frequencies.
For all of you that bought the North American N95-3 at the initial $700 price, we’re sorry to bring you this news. The N95-3 barely hit Yankee shores and there’s already a $200 $100 price drop? If it makes you feel any better, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) screwed us for $200 for our iPhones just three months after it launched.
Thanks to Johnny Li for sending this in! (a little late, but better than never)

You do realize that $599 is only $100 less than the official $699 price? Or did you think $700-$600 was somehow equal to $200?
Awsome good news! Only $599 for this superphone
unbelievable good price for the best smartphone or the best phone ever made
Thanks for pointing that out Vivek. I corrected the mistake – I guess I need some sugar, my brain is retarded.
Thanks TigerDirect to this awsome good price, I belive and hope other dealers folow Tigerdirects
exellent good price for the best made “smartphone”ever.
Datavision has it for $609, so they are also pretty close. Is TigerDirect reliable? Datavision is listed on Nokia’s N-series site, so I guess they can be trusted to not have taken out the charger or something stupid like that.
HAve not checked shipping costs on either.
I don’t get credit for sharing the news with you guys?
Nice to see the Canadian TigerDirect site has the same phone listed for $731.99 even though the Canadian dollar is worth more ($1.06? Hello?) than the American dollar. What’s with that?
Oh.. nikia is my favorite mobile phones… price and quality
Hey Johnny (Reptile)! Thanks for the info brotha. I though I included the credit, but it must have slipped my mind (I needed some sugar
)
Interesting that the stronger Looney doesn’t equate to lower prices on TD Canada.
LOL. I was just kidding about being sad. Thanks, though.
J&R Music World advertised the N95 for $579 in this morning’s NY Times. The couple of importers I saw also listed roughly this price.
