iPhone starts selling in UK this Friday; Set to become the fastest selling handset ever?

Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone is going on sale in Britain at 6:02pm this Friday, hence you’ll see more iPhone news coming during the weekend. The thing that caught my eye is O2 (NYSE: TEF)’s prediction, which is claiming the iPhone will be the fastest selling handset yet. According to the carrier, we’ll see up to 200,000 iPhones sold by Christmas.

Yeah it lacks 3G, a better camera and much more, but it’s Apple we’re talking about here. We’ll see how will Brits react, but somehow I’ve no doubt in iPhone’s success…

Please let it not be the case!!
I dont really understand Nokias strategy – they have a fantastic N95 8Gb and yet coverage, advertising and shopfront advertising is minimal why is this?? I had a look around a various Vodafone and Phones 4U shops on Oxford street today, hardly any had N95 8Gb signs, no N81 adverts, why?? They should be getting the networks to shout out loud or advertising themselves. The N95 8Gb is better than the iphone and yet Nokia seem shy in the competition.
