to myoomy:

Dude, I've just got e51 black with silver (metal) back, and it is dotted, not lined. When I was looking through all e51s I've seen many versions and some of them were dotted and other ones were lined even if all of them were black colored, so now I can say that the color of the corpus does not matter on the back side of the phone.

To all,

dotted backs are much better! More stylish I'd say :)

Since you're chatting about the E51, I've just got one, and I needed to get the SIM out, so that I could put it back in my old phone to copy some numbers off.

The only way I could get it out was by digging into it with a small flat-head screwdriver.

Please tell me there is an easier way of removing the SIM card from this phone!

Thanks!

Paul

Dude,
there is only one versions of a nokia e51. The difference is because each color come with a different back design. For example the black come with doted back, silver comes with lines on the back so is the Copper one.

Hope that clear the confusion.
