Google’s already announced their plans for the mobile space and there’s still no end in sight for rumors regarding the GPhones. HTC, already rumored to be the manufacturer of the Android-based prototype Google “Dream” Phone, is now reportedly expected to ship 1 million handsets based on Google’s mobile OS Android in 2008.

HTC Omni could be Android-based Google Dream Phone

Morgan Stanley is estimating that HTC will ship 8% of total handsets in 2008 with the Android OS. So, will they be bringing the HTC Omni with Android OS by mid-2008? Will it launch earlier? Is the HTC Omni actually the Google “Dream” prototype? We have no idea. But, then again, that’s part of the fun.
