Motorola Sidekick Slide goes live!

If the Danger-made Sidekick LX just wasn’t your cup of tea (or maybe it was a little too expensive) there’s a new Sidekick-kid on the block. The Motorola (NYSE: MOT)-made Sidekick Slide has hit the ground running and is available for just $199 from T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) (contracts and rebates are involved, as always). Billed as the Sidekick 4-lite, the lower-end of the first-ever Sidekick duo features a sliding screen instead of the characteristic Sidekick flip-out, swivel screen. Not to mention a “cooler” looking design.
The Sidekick Slide is smaller and lighter than its bigger brother Sidekick LX, but that also means you get a smaller, less-cool display (we love the Sidekick LX’s glorious, Sharp AQUOS-based 3-inch widescreen display). But hey, if you just can’t find an extra $100 in couch-change, the Sidekick LX might be the perfect Sidekick for you. We’re actually partial to the Sidekick Slide for its slick lines and slide-open screen – even if it does lag behind the LX’s spec sheet.
OMGG THE SIDEKICK SLIDE ISNT THEIR BEST WORK ! EVERYTIME I SLIDE IT OPEN IT TURNS OFF !! ITS SUXX IM SOO PISSED I WISH I NEVER EVER BOUGHT DAT CRAO YO !

I got one and I LOVEE it!. BUt, I’m getting tired of itt lOl. I dont keep a phone for more than 3 months!. BUT I got this one in December, and I still got it!. Surprisingly!. But yeaa!. I love it!. No flaws of nuffin!.
Also!. I wass gunna get the LX, BUT I didnt like itt. It was too big for mee. And I’m in highschool, and that swivel screen brings too much attention.

You know, I agree with that. I don’t liek the scarlett color. I would rather have the purple and black, looks alot cooler. I wish there was some sort of jade, u know? Like a nice green color. Now that would be sweet!

I got this phone in March, I love it! but When its time for my upgrade I realy want to get a BlackBerry
The one problem I have with this phone, is The Blue-Tooth, and Everytime I take out my sim, It wipes my contacts, but I solved that problem.. Just Switch it off, and on again and it reloads.
Also I cant get my Live Mail to come to this phone

I want this phone but you have to have it on contract unless yoo pay like 300 quid but yoo cant get it any where accept america… and it loook wiked n YOU CAN CHANGE THE FACEPLATES TO ANY DESIGHN IM GETTING PINK STAR wooo … x
Sidekick slide is ok,but the 2 only things that I hate on tis phone is that there is no vid.recording on it and you can’t even go on youtube or any thing else 2 watch videos. So everytime I wanty to watcvh youtube videos I have to go on the computer…so that trealy sucks. But next yaer im upgrading to a sidekick lx cuz dat shit is off da change and plus it has a bigger screen and it is slimmer.
I just recently started loving sidekicks, and I have been debating lately on getting the sidekick lx or the sidekick slide. I was also wondering if it took videos, which I just heard that it doesn’t, which isn’t all that important to me, but it would just be a plus. Do you know if the sidekick lx can take videos, or watch videos on youtube and such? If I get the sidekick lx, I’m getting it in blue, and if I get the sidekick slide, I’m getting it in scarlet. I don’t care what anyone says, I like the scarlet more than the blue, personally.
