Why the hell can’t I hear anything from my brand-new Apple iPhone?!

Man holds iPhone upside down WTF?! Why can’t I hear the caller on my brand-new Apple iPhone? Is it some crazy bug that’s keeping the earpiece volume on permanent “mute?”

Oh wait. Damnit. The plastic film that covers the brand-new iPhone also obscures the earpiece. What? You mean I have to actually put the earpiece to my ear? Double damnit. I hope no one sees this and posts it on the interwebs…

The best part of this whole deal is the serious look on this guy’s face! Look at him try to use the iPhone upside-down. He’s apparently an iPhone reviewer in the UK. Funny Brits…

He could be listening to something through the loudspeaker in the bottom of the device. Since it doesn’t sound very loud (especially in noisy environments) it would explain why he’s holding it up to his ear.

Dude where have you been? or where have i been?
The fact that you guys here are the sharpest pencils in the box
has me concerned that once i answere this obviously easy question the joke is going to be on me.BUT in the name of community service ill give the bennifit of the doubt.
THE PROBLEM is AT&T[formerly cingular formerly at&t]Is dependent
on the 850mhz frequency [more so in certain areas than others]& that
i phone is not 850mhz equiped rendering it the biggest rip off ever for
those poor” fanboys”that are living in said 850mhz. concentrated areas.
My hypotheses is that T-mobile who is not 850mhz. friendly was first in line for apple to use as carrier being a tri band carrier and a perfect match for tri band i phone.Where as AT&T being quad band carrier was second in line after deal fell through between tmob and steven apple jobs.option to fix is to unlock it and go w/ a tmobile sim, prepay as a second line,or get tmob contract and have both or wait and get tmob.but what ever you choose AT&T cant fix this issue.option 2 sell it.option 3.trade it on craigslist but be honest as to why so you can trade for a quad band anything.BTW im a macbook lover not apple hater. i just hate fanboys .
