Canadians need some iPhone love too! Apple iPhone on Rogers in January?
By Will Park on Saturday, November 10th, 2007 at 4:32 PM PST In Apple, Rumors, iPhone
Now that the Europeans officially have the iPhone (the UK and Germany do, at least – France’s Orange is slated for November 29), it’s time to turn our attention to our hockey-loving friends to the North. We’re talking about Canada, of course. When is the iPhone coming to Canada?

Well, we’ve been hearing rumors left and right rumor the iPhone will be coming to Canada next year. The newest iPhone tidbit from the land of the maple-leaf pegs Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s entry into the Canadian wireless market at January 15, 2008. The updated launch window will miss our previous speculation that Rogers (NYSE: RCI) Wireless will launch the iPhone December 7, 2007. Of course, eager Canadians could just grab an unlocked iPhone from, say, eBay. A trip over the border and some iPhone downgrading/unlocking could also get the job done. But, if Visual Voicemail is important to you, you’d do well to wait for Rogers Wireless to offer the iPhone officially. Just a couple more months, be strong.

hey andrew, still waiting for that announcement. (oh and just for the record, unsubstantiated internet rumours are not announcements)
