Dr Pepper wants some piece of the iPhone action; Launches Bejeweled-like game

Everyone wants to be affiliate with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s handset nowadays. So it doesn’t come as a surprise to see Dr Pepper releasing its own iPhone game called Matchcaps to grab some media attention. Touted as the “first-ever branded game for the Apple iPhone,” Matchcaps is a Bejeweled-like game that runs via the built-in Safari web browser. It was developed by Imaginuity New Media, which will release the game as a native application as soon as Apple releases the iPhone SDK.
