HTC plans to release 2 to 3 Android based devices in 2008

Digitimes is reporting that HTC is expecting their revenues to grow 20% and that they plan on shipping 2 to 3 Android powered devices. Android being the operating system developed by the Open Handset Alliance being championed by Google (NSDQ: GOOG).
The SDK is supposed to come out today, but nothing as of yet. Stay tuned to Into Mobile where I fully intend to download the SDK and emulator.
Are they going to ditch MS?
absolutely not.
I’ve just seen the Steve Ballmer (Microsoft CEO) and Nigel Clifford (Symbian CEO) speeches about Android (http://www.weshow.com/us/p/22898/microsofts_ceo_discusses_googles_smartphone) and they really don’t seem to be worried about Android, as we can see in their smiley and calm faces.
Android is working on the HTC Vogue now too (HTC Touch, HTC Elf, VM6900, whatever name you want to call it).
A site has been started to track its development and includes an easy cab installer, windows installer and notes.
Phone works, browser works, SMS works, theres an on screen keyboard and calls work (with end button working).
