Samsung i760 world phone for Verizon? We heard it on the grapevine. It seems that Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless may be prepping a world-phone edition of their newly released Samsung i760 smartphone to pull duty as the jet-setting complement to the CDMA handset in the states. Word has it that the Samsung i760 world phone may rock EVDO for US-based phoning and GSM (with possible HSDPA) for use on overseas networks.

All other features are said to be on par with the Samsung i760 that’s already out with Verizon. We’ll pass along more details as we get them.
