Brief: Rumor: Google looking to buy Skype from eBay

Rumor on the street, at least according to the Guardian, is that Google (NSDQ: GOOG) is attempting to purchase Skype from eBay. No figures have been announced. Think of what this will mean for Android! Turn Skype into yet another Google service and you have the perfect platform to deliver services.
Android is turning into a beast - Skype (if it goes ahead), potentially free spectrum ie free calls (if google win), open source and big backers. Watch out Nokia.
