Starting with the next version of S60, 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, a new technology called Widgets will be enabled. Widgets is a fancy way of saying you will be able to build applications using XHTML, CSS and JavaScript for S60. The web run time, the engine that powers the S60 browser, will be the enabler of the creation of widgets. Daniel Rocha from newlc takes us through a demo of how one can write widgets for S60 and goes into some detail about the technology and potential future use cases.

More information about Widgets can be found in episode 20 and 21 of the Voice of S60 podcast, this slideshow on SlideShare and this 45 minute video on Blip.tv.
