Black Hole phone pouch hides your cellphone signal

Brando Black Hole bag blocks wireless signalsJust as a Black Hole eats up anything in its vicinity – including light – Brando’s Black Hole bag will eat up your mobile phone’s wireless signal. Putting your phone into this Black Hole phone bag will effectively block all incoming and outgoing signals from your mobile phone.

The Black Hole phone bag has two pockets – one that will act as a normal cellphone pouch, and one that will wrap your phone in an impenetrable wireless cocoon. For $12 at Brando’s website, you can pick up a Black Hole bag for those times when you want to hide yourself from the “grid” without pressing the “power” button.

I wonder what material they use for it.
It would be interesting if Nokia phones can still punch through to get a signal.

  2. Will Park says:

I would imagine it’s some sort of metallic-lined fabric – essentially creating a Faraday Cage around the device that prevents any electromagnetic seepage.

Post update with additional pics….

 I wonder why would someone really need such a thing…

That’s one good thing that you would not require to switch off your cell phone every time it is needed. What would be interesting if Nokia phones can punch in signals through it? If that is your requirement, why go in for this pouch, you can always have a simple pouch for your self. Anyhow, even Nokia handsets go unreachable when inside this pouch.
