Bully buttons alert teachers via SMS in Australia

Young nerds in Australia should thank mobile technology for providing the new ways to report and stop bullying. Apparently, schools around the country will get the new “Bully buttons,” which students push when they are being bullied. Instantly, if there are surveillance cameras around, they’re swinging around and record the area around the button. In addition, an SMS is sent to a teacher, who in theory appears within seconds to stop the incident.
Melbourne company Celltek created the wireless bully button, a black box with a red button, that can be mounted on a pole or wall…
And sorry for using the word “nerds” at the beginning of the article, I just couldn’t help myself.
