LG Electronics wants to sell 100 million mobiles next year

LG Electronics has set a goal to sell more than 100 million mobile phones during next year. If their plan turns out as a success, the South Korean giant will be breathing down Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE)’s neck who have shipped around 100 million phones this year. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) still rules the mobile world and holds the third of all mobile phone sales.
The idea is to push both low and mid-range devices to repeat the successes with such models as Chocolate and Shine, but also to expand the share in the high-end market. Hopefully, this will translate in some new Viewty phone which will not be just the Windows Mobile exclusive…
