MetroPCS launches the Samsung R410

Remember that easy-to-use, messaging phone that Samsung was sending over to MetroPCS (NYSE: PCS)’s network? Yea, well, it’s finally gone live in time for some last-minute holiday shopping. The Samsung R410 will bring some QWERTY-based messaging prowess to MetroPCS’s mid-range lineup. At a $200 price point, this thing is actually at the higher-end of the carrier’s stable, but with features like a VGA camera (they call it a “high-resolution” shooter, but we know better) and Bluetooth as the most-advanced offering, the Samsung R410 isn’t all that high-end.
Still, if unlimited calling plans and text-messaging focus is what you’re looking for, then the Samsung R410 on MetroPCS should do you just fine. Grab it for the aforementioned $200 in your choice of black or red. We like the red, but you can’t go wrong with black.
What about an mp3 player? Does the samsung r410 have an mp3 player and/or an sd slot for expandable memory?
Ok..I read about this phone on other websitess.And they said watever tones u download..YOu cant use them as ur ringtonee.Is that true?
I have this phone and it seems impossible to download free ringtones. This phone uses midi files for ringtones and everytime I tried to download I always get the message ” unsupported content type ” or something like that. Hopefully I can find a way soon because I am not paying 3 dollars per ringtone.

this phone sucks big dick. Its no good for ringtones and the bluetooth suxs as well. Wish i knew that before i bought it. Sould have just stayed with my razor

I’m able to download ringtones to my computer then bluetooth them to my phone!!!!! Now. I’m lovin this phone!!!
how do u dowload them to your computer and then to bluetooth??? what do u use???
I am so confused. My phone (samsungr410) says it can download pics and tones when u read the instruction book it comes with but then wen u try to do it it doesnt work!!! Sheeesh!

I FOUND A SHORTCUT TO THE RINGTONES SITUATION FINALLY!!!!!
YOU NEED TO HAVE A FRIEND OR SOMEONE WITH A RAZOR PHONE.
I don’t know exactly how it works but it only works with a razor and a sliver possibly. Have the razor phone send the ringtone in a textmessage to your samsung r410. once you receive it go to options and save it under “my sounds” . after that you can go to your phone book and set the ringtone for whomever you want it to be for.The key is sometype of format that the razor automatically downloads the ringtone in that allows the samsung r410 to use and save it as a ringtone also. I just did it on my fone and it worked! I’m so happy now i just need more tones! let me know how it works for you!

dont get this phone…paying $211 for is isnt worth it…you would think that if you pay this amount of money for it you would at least get some kind of privilages we guess what the cheaper phone get more then samsung gets

Metro sux, get a real carrier, then maybe you guys wouldn’t have so many problems. I worked with Metro before and it was nothing but a headache, so many customers coming back with problems. Seriously, you would be better off dropping it. I’m just sayin…
I am curious about this phone because I purchased 2 of them and the memory is acting up on both phones. One of the phones will not take pics at all and the screen shows nothing but white and says memory is full. Everything is off that phone that would take up memory and it still says the same out of memory things.
ugh i hate this phone. i had a razor which i liked much better but after i broke it i was like oh ill get the new phone blah blah blah BIG mistake.it sucks. i cant download ringtones….unless i pay for them.weak!
metro pcs should start getting phone slike the iphone the samsung instinct or something like that cause all the phones are lame .
wow i was thinking of getting this phone because thats the only phone i know that metro pcs have that has the qwerty keyboard and a camera, I dont care for mp3 or ringtones since i dont use it anyway but i care about bluetooth. Seems like the reviews for this phone is not good so I guess I need to look for something else.
i used to be able to download ringtones for free on my other phones, with my lg verizon chocolate im not able too, i gotta pay for them but oh well, im tired of paying 140 a month so thats why i want to go with metro pcs for 45 a month, i know the service sucks yeah yeah yeah but im tired of payin so much money, if the call drops oh well just call back lol
Well I know a lot of you you just can’ download the ringtones on your Samsung’s from Metro but really nothing to worry about. Just download them from http://www.ringaholic.com and they are 100% free. Once you have them on your computer then just put them on your phone using the bluetooth or the data cable. No biggie really
I just got this phone 3 weeks ago and i keep trying to download songs and have friends bluetooth me songs and guess what??? YOU CANT DO IT!! I can’t even bluetooth ma pictures from ma AT&T phone. It really sucks even when someone sends them to me you can’t use them as ringtones. I hate this phone.

I would just like to say, I just bought this phone today and it does suck..lolz damn i found all these free websites to DL ringtones…and now what..HA! its a joke…SCREW…if i knew it would suck so bad..id have thought about it…oh wellz…i guess ill just go with the usb bluetooth data idea.. ^-^

R450 is way better…the R450 is the newer version and i have it…check it out…more features but still has the problem of not being able to get free ringtones
