First “authorized” BlackBerry store opens in the middle of nowhere

Please note that we have nothing against citizens of Farmington Hills, Michigan, but somehow we expected the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) maker to hit Manhattan with its first “authorized” store. The new store provides users with “the most comprehensive offering of BlackBerry products and services,” and is run by Wireless Giant, a chain founded in 1996. Potential buyers can pick any BlackBerry plan from the country’s big four carriers, including AT&T (NYSE: T), Sprint (NYSE: S), T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) and Verizon (NYSE: VZ). As far as we can see from the images, RIM’s first store doesn’t actually make us wanna book the tickets for the first flight. Still if you’re in the neighborhood, say hello in our name…

They need 2 bring that store 2 new york ASAP
yeah i think NY/waterloo/toronto would have made more sense.
Its all about who wants to fund the progject wireless giant is a michigan company and they probably have taken the over head acting as a dealer for RIM
im glad this store opened up in farmington hills its close to my house and on the corner of orchard lake rd
its not our fault we put money into projects like these and not jus leaving in our pockets……..
I can say without a doubt that this store will not succeed. Not only because there is no need for a store like this for everyday consumers, but because it is run by Wireless Giant, the masters of scams and poor customer service. Give it 6 months and you’ll see this as a vacant lot or and independent cell phone supplier. Wireless Giant, get a phone, get a tan and buy some vitamins–a regular party store!
