S60 users now have full access to the entire YouTube library

emtube S60 users now have full access to the entire YouTube library

While iPhone users have to wait for the YouTube to convert their videos into h.264 format, S60 users can install emTube and enjoy the entire collection right now. This application is one of the first to take advantage of S60’s Open C support, meaning that the standard c++ code written to decode videos in the libavcodec and libavutil libraries did not have to be rewritten in that Satanic language known as Symbian.c++.

For a full review with plenty of screenshots head on over to All About Symbian and if you like the application don’t forget to donate. Where was this guy at Nokia (NYSE: NOK) World? His application blows MobiTubia out of the water.

I can confirm it works, I just watched my boy TechnoViking bust a move on my Nokia N82.

Great application. The video skips while downloading on my e61 but is smooth once video downloads.

    Already donated!

Technoviking doesn’t dance to music, music dances to Technoviking.

Quality is nowhere near as good as the iPhone version. Even on Wifi connection it’s jumpy and fuzzy.

  8. J says:

Did you use the rotation version for N82 or the the one without? I’m using the rotation version on my N82 and it works perfectly fine except that on horizontal mode, the videos seem to lag a bit (even when 100% loaded). It shouldn’t be about the processing power or is it?

  9. JonnyBruha says:

It also allows you to save the video once you’re done downloading it. This is huge. No more struggling with stream settings for vTap or the built-in Video Center app or downloading compressed files from TinyTube.

  10. Chris P says:

LTM…. the iphone version isnt full youtube, its a cut down mobile youtube – ie not youtube! Jumpy and Fuzzy!? Have you even used the app? its not jumpy whatsoever and is crystal clear. – Do you work for apple by any chance?
