		<description>It is probably to make the connection more secure.  When charging in a car mount, my e90 does not maintain a solid connection, and will not consistently charge.  This would definitely help.</description>

		<description>I love MagSafe on my MBP!! I can&#039;t even say how great it is - it&#039;s saved my laptop from an early demise on several occasions. In fact, my previous PowerBook met an early death due to a kicked power-cord. 

But, you&#039;re right, Stefan. The magnet would have to be weak enough to disengage from a device that weighs a handful of ounces.

Still, it&#039;s an awesome idea for any gadget, even phones.</description>
