Motorola RIZR Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition

While we’re waiting for Motorola (NYSE: MOT) to finally unveil their Z10 Symbian UIQ based smartphone, they’ve decided to refresh the Z8 by teaming-up with Ferrari. The end result is way much better looking Z8 with unfortunately the same specs. The only physical difference is that the Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition has red instead of green backlight and comes bundled with two Ferrari video clips, pre-registration to the official Ferrari website, Ferrari mobile content (wallpapers and ringtones), and direct links to the popular online magazines like Top Gear, Auto Express, GQ, Esquire and Autosport. In addition, the phone also comes with “The Bourne Identity” movie, even though we don’t actually understand why.

Anyway, you won’t be able to grab the Moto RIZR Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition this Christmas. The phone is scheduled to hit Ferrari stores and major Motorola retailers in Q1 2008. My advice (in case you’re not a true Ferrari lunatic) is to wait for the Z10 - it should be much better…
