Interesting Stat: Close to 80% of text messages sent and received are from Asia

Considering that a third of the world’s population lives in Asia I’m not surprised about the fact that 78.9% of text messages sent and received originated from the region. That is 1.5 trillion messages. Think about it.

      If Asia share in world population is 57%

      We see similar stats with our mobile news service, Mobispine (http://www.mobispine.com)

      Lots of our current users come from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran etc.

      So, Asia rocks basically

      I don’t think MidEast is considered part of Asia. But both of those areas do a ton of mobile traffic.
