Good (or not) old Verizon (NYSE: VZ) wants to get some piece of the CES’ news flow, hence they’ve decided it’s the right time to officially announce the SMT5800 Windows Mobile smartphone. It’s like we haven’t figured out it’s coming…
Anyway, the Windows Mobile based smartphone packs both numeric keypad and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, stereo Bluetooth support, 2.4″ QVGA screen, EV-DO, and of course the microSD memory slot. It’s a neat and powerful device, and you can already grab it online for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. If you prefer the old way to play with the device for few moments before actually purchasing it, you’ll have to wait for January 21st when it’s scheduled to hit Verizon Wireless Communications Stores nationwide… Full release after the jump.
