Verizon announces SMT5800

Good (or not) old Verizon (NYSE: VZ) wants to get some piece of the CES’ news flow, hence they’ve decided it’s the right time to officially announce the SMT5800 Windows Mobile smartphone. It’s like we haven’t figured out it’s coming

Anyway, the Windows Mobile based smartphone packs both numeric keypad and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, stereo Bluetooth support, 2.4″ QVGA screen, EV-DO, and of course the microSD memory slot. It’s a neat and powerful device, and you can already grab it online for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year customer agreement. The Verizon SMT 5800 is not the same as the HTC s720. Check out the memory 125mb verses 256 etc.
