Please note that I’ve nothing against Microsoft, I only find their “chasing Apple” strategy on some fronts kinda ridiculous. So, I’m glad to report that the Redmond giant won’t make the Zune phone!

ZuneIn an interview with Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, when asked whether Microsoft will make the Zune phone, Bill himself said, “No, we won’t do that. In the so-called smart phone business we will concentrate solely on software with our Windows Mobile program. We have partnerships with a lot of device manufacturers from Samsung to Motorola and this variety brings us significantly more than if we would make our own mobile phone.”

Thank God for that! Now Bill before you fully leave Microsoft, bring us much better Windows Mobile 7 and we’ll love ya. ;)

That’s easy for Bill Gates to say. He will be leaving the day-to-day operations at Microsoft in a couple of months.

Who knows what (stupid) things they think of after he’s gone ;-) ))

I agree, chasing after Apple is a sad game for them. That’s not what top business do anyway, they’ve got to come up with their own ideas.
