Make iPhone applications on your Windows machine – Windows Binary Toolchain Installer

By Will Park on Friday, January 11th, 2008 at 2:00 PM PST In Announcements, Apple, Applications, Developer, iPhone, iPhone OS

iPhone development toolchain for WindowsThird-party, native iPhone applications are all the rage recently. And, with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s forthcoming iPhone SDK on the horizon, we’d imagine that a lot of Windows-users are going to be gunning for a head-start on developing for the iPhone’s Mac OS. Unfortunately, an out-of-the-box iPhone development toolchain has been limited to Mac users – until now.

David Supuran over at iPhoneGameOver Wiki has put together an iPhone Binary Toochain Installer for Windows users, complete with installation instructions.

You’ll need a jailbroken iPhone, an Apple Online Developer account, and a bit of UNIX savvy (Cygwin runs the show). Grab the Windows Binary Toolchain Installer for your iPhone here.

voice recorders…etc. cause i know a bit of php, javascript, HTML
and DHTML so can you make like games or something (CAR GAMES).

By the way do you have any idea how people made the X-RAY,
Money, imilk, isoda, beat maker, games…etc.

Y does the Iphone always have to be jailbroken, cant that mess up your Iphone and you lose your warranty.

    We aren’t modding PSPs here.

Jailbreaking cannot void your warranty or break your phone/iPod. If something goes wrong with the jailbreak (which never happens) you can always restore via iTunes. Plus, whence you do restore to official firmware, there’s no proof that you jailbroke thus your warranty is intact.
