Next2Friends extends social networking to real life using Bluetooth

I don’t know have you heard about UK-based Next2Friends, but they are offering quite a feature-packed social networking service/platform. No, I’m not talking about the ability to develop applications for the network — rather I’m referring to their feature that allows users to bridge “virtual world” with the “real world.” Using the Next2Friends software on your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, Next2Friends will automatically collect and match your data to other Next2Friends users you came into close proximity with. This in turn should improve the way you schmooze around, pointing you to the people you already “virtually” know. Heck, you can use Next2Friends as a dating platform.
Finally, it’s fair to say I doubt the mobile app can alert you there’s a hot blond in the corner waiting for you, but it certainly can help you socialize better. Good luck!

seems like really nice social networking plan . . .
I gotta say that at first I thought they were too much like too many other social networking sites that incorporate mobile features, but after tinkering around a bit I began to discover all kinds of things that are unique to them. They have this function where you can actually stream live video from your cell phone! I thought that was pretty cool!
