Verizon to launch Samsung Gleam in purple on January 27th

We’re not sure whether this is important or not, but somehow it’s easy to envision this purple baby selling like cupcakes for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. It’s purple, it’s glossy, and it certainly looks like one of those “ideal gifts for her.” We like the brains as well, so the pink Centro is our pick for the February 14th so far. Costs the same — $99 with a contract — and comes with the ultra-useful QWERTY keyboard. What do you say?

I say I’d much prefer the Centro. I think this one looks like a tweener phone. On the other hand, it does have some nice insides though.
