Asterix at the Olympic Games goes mobile

I can never forget reading the first Asterix comic book. I was 12 years old and I couldn’t sleep because of it. Yeah, I loved it. The first movie and then the sequel was cool, but I enjoyed the cartoons even more. Guess I was younger when they aired…

Asterix at the Olympic Games goes mobile

Enough about my childhood. It’s the EA Mobile which secured the licence to release the official game of the “Europe’s biggest 2008 movie” - Asterix at the Olympic Games. The game title is somewhat different and seems made so that everyone knows it’s the game they should get - Asterix: The Official Mobile Game of the Movie.

As for the game itself, it’s a platform adventure and it’s your task to play with Asterix and Obelix, and compete in Greece to win the hand of Princess Irina for young Gaul - Lovestorix. You start on the streets of Athens, preparing yourself for various disciplines like long jump, running, disk, football and the chariot race finale…

I haven’t played the game, but I’ll certainly will. Even if it’s piece of crap — and I honestly hope it’s not — it will bring back the memories. I can’t do anything about the time… Pardon me for being more pathetic than usual… :)
