ArcSoft, CleNET Technologies, fring™, Google (NSDQ: GOOG), i-skoot and Mobica are new partners in the UIQ Alliance Partner Program. The agreements basically mean that UIQ Technology will support the partner companies in their development of mobile applications and services on UIQ and Symbian OS for future product releases. The new partners are given access to UIQ roadmap updates, joint marketing, technical support and also have the option to receive early access to UIQ releases.
That is the first paragraph of this press release and I can’t reword it any better than that, make sure you check it out to get a better sense of what each of these 6 companies do. What does Google have in store is beyond me and aren’t there competing interests due to Android?

it would be great if Google will joined UIQ and started developing devices with UIQ system.
not going to happen, in a million years.
Thankfully. (..let’s see, click here to focus on that street, and “by the way, would you like to buy a street- racer! Just let me download this inanely stupid ad before you throw your phone in the river!”).
