Third party application brings MyLocation feature on Google Maps to GSM Treos
By Dusan Belic on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 at 3:59 AM PST In Applications, Palm OS
Thanks to the Palm (NSDQ: PALM) OS developer named Razix, owners of the older GSM-based Treo devices (Treo 600, 650 and 680) can now use the pseudo-GPS MyLocation feature on Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps. Apart from requiring one of the mentioned Treo devices, the software also demands that the current version of Google Maps (ver: 1.2.0.9) is installed on the smartphone.
The application is free to download, but the developer does accept donations. So if you happen to find it useful — and if you’re travelling often, you certainly will — we strongly encourage you to drop him few bucks for his effort.
