T-Mobile to get Palm Centro too?

File this under “sooo not confirmed,” but apparently T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) is also standing in line alongside AT&T waiting for Sprint (NYSE: S)’s Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Centro exclusivity to expire. How we know about it? Well it’s Palm’s CFO whose giggling (when asked about the prospects) we should thank for the information. That’s hardly an evidence you might argue, but what’s wrong with thinking that T-Mobile also wants a piece of the Centro action. After all, Sprint’s selling them like hot cupcakes… Yeah, we’ll keep our eyes wide open and keep you folks well informed…

T-MOBILE US will NOT carry any palm devices as they have an exclusivity contract with HTC. they are not allowed to make any deals with other smartphone companies. this was told to me by an official t-mobile corporate store representative in los angeles last week. I asked him : “then what about the blackberry? isn’t that competition for HTC then?” his answer was: “those are not smartphones, those are email-devices”.
i want the centro sooo badly to come to t-mobile it would make my lifeeee
c’moooon you guys! I have been a tmobile customer since Voicestream days, and followed the treo line from the VisorPhone attachment of my Handspring Visor! (yep, on through the Treo 270 and 600, both bought from Tmobile, and the 650 and my current 680, both unlocked straight from Palm). Further, I am a Mac user and love my Mac Office, particularly Entourage.
I do not deviate from what works best; I only upgrade.
TMobile and Palm, you need to start your love affair again…give in to a great union!
I bought an unlocked Palm and I am using it on T - Mobile, what a match!!
Any more word on this? It’s June now . . I have heard anything else and I really really want the centro . . . How well does the unlocked one work????
Hey Dyana… did you have to add any data plans to your current tmobile plan for the centro to work?
Ive Read your article saying that your centro works on tmobile….How do you get it to work with gprs?
T-mobile should seriously consider merging with Palm!! I love their smartphones and I HATE being with T-mobile because they don’t have a large selection. Maybe soon enough T-mobile will realize that their products are lacking compared to Verizon, Apple, and Palm anyway.
