Sony Ericsson has filed a patent for “Detachable Housings for a Wireless Communication Device.” Basically you’re mobile’s screen can be detached from the actual device. Is this useful? I’m drawing an absolute blank here.

Erm. Maybe you can replace it with a mirror, for vain mobile phone users?
How about a powerful lens, for those mobile astrologers among us?
Useful? That’s super cool. The removable display is probably a touch-screen phone itself, with its own little battery.
Wow,
Can’t wait for that phone! Removable display means there’s a connector (plug, jack), right? Which means you can connect there a cable and at the other end of the cable you can have…
TV, projector, computer monitor! Two monitors!
