Microsoft bids for Yahoo!

Microsoft has put a cash and shares bid on the table for Yahoo!, which values it at…….wait for it……ready…… $44.6bn! With Google being the Gorilla of internet companies right now, clearly Microsoft thinks that acquiring Yahoo! would bolster their position. Apparently the Yahoo! board is currently considering the offering. I wonder if that conversation went anything like:
Board member #1: that's a lot of money isn't it?
Board member #2: is a billion more or less than a million?
Board member #1: not sure, let me just Google it and check
