The LG KF510 to be announced at MWC next week is a 10.9 mm thick slider with a 3 megapixel autofocus camera. There is a portion under the display that is touch sensitive and depending on which application you're in the buttons change, like the Motorola E8. Expected street date is March of this year, price will hover around 330 dollars.

[…] LG has just unveiled the new KF510, a mid-range fashion phone that will become available in March of this year. They even hired a couple of cute booth girls to pretend to like it, so even if you have no interest in the phone at least you have something to look at. The funky slider will be announced more officially next week in Barcelona, but a few initial details are available now and it actually doesn't look that bad. With a thickness of only 10.9 mm, a metal frame, "special metal gradation paint schemes" and "Interactive Touch Lighting" LG is definitely aiming at a certain type of consumer with this device. The panel below the screen consists of a series of flush, heat-sensitive buttons that perform a variety of functions including UI navigation and media control. Like Motorola's latest ROKR, the KF510's Touch Lighting setup illuminates various available buttons in accordance with the app being used. So while listening to music the media controls will illuminate, but they will be hidden while navigating through menus for example. The initial price point is set at $330 but this is certainly a phone with US carrier appeal. It may only be a matter of time before $99 and a contract will land you a spiffy new handset that will be the talk of your high school.[Via IntoMobile]Read […]

Looks nice, but I doubt it will be quadband for us here in the states. Also, I really like how LG prices their phones…I know they aren't smartphones and can't command a high tag, but they are always priced reasonably well -
