A Mobile with built-in charger? Surely not!

Hopefully you can see from the slightly patchy CAD image, or maybe not – but plans are afoot to embed the charger for a Mobile device, within the device itself. Infinitely charged is a new concept design which removes the need for a separate charger.
The design is still patent-pending, and no estimates on when it might be commercially ready – but the travel adaptor-like design (you know where the pins retract) is clearly an influence here.
From my perspective, the bulk associated with this would be difficult to hide in the ‘anorexic’ (i.e. super slim) handsets that are currently the trend, but could work in something like a ruggedised handset perhaps?
What is it with novel charging solutions? You write about one, then a fleet of them (well, two in total) come along!

I don’t like it. Specially because I use the mobile while charging. And with this it would be nearly impossible to do it…
