Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 shows off in Barcelona

Well, today is the day. Mobile World Congress will be kicking off in a few hours and I’m already up and at it. Actually, I’m still up – I couldn’t sleep. Knowing that the world’s latest and greatest handsets are just a few hours away, I’m jittery with anticipation.
Last night Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) bowed their XPERIA X1 Windows Mobile-based superphone at their pre-MWC event. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 certainly doesn’t disappoint in the “looks” department and we’re hearing that HTC had a lot to do with that. In fact, HTC may have had everything to do with it. The once-ODM seems to have jumped back in the game and allegedly designed this sleek, QWERTY-toting handset for the Japanese/Swedish handset-team.
As far as “feel” is concerned, we’ll just have to wait until we can get our sweaty hands on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 to make any conclusions. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 boasts a 3-inch touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, touch-sensitive trackball, and it’s all powered by the familiar Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional OS. We would have loved to play with this superphone ourselves, but alas, only SE employees were so lucky. If this thing handles itself anywhere near as good as it looks, Sony Ericsson’s got a real winner on their hands.

2) Will the X1 allow connection to EAP-TTLS-PAP wifi networks as its windows?
How many RAM is here? If less than 128 Mb than it’s sad.
it has 128 ram and 528mhz qualcomm processor.
My only worry is once the carriers get ahold of it to and infest it with their software.
The X1 does not have a Memory Stick Micro? & Business card scanner

I am going to buy this phone. I realized that in every country they offer only one colour — dark or white. I want the white one. So I hope it will be possible to get it in Barcelona.

it is a good phone the major set back is the wringing valume is too low compared to other sony phones could u rectify this please
