Timbaland to release V Cast exclusive album

Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless has announced the launch of its Mobile Producer in Residence program, with the first Mobile Producer being R&B visionary Timbaland.

Timbo will launch an entire mobile-exclusive album via V-Cast, throughout 2008 – his chart-topping collaborations include Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On” JT’s “SexyBack”, and more recently he has released his own album “Shock Value” (which very good indeed!).
The project will start end of March, and include a different artist each month, to create a new track via the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus. Verizon will also broadcast session footage on the V Cast and Surround platforms.

Anyone else think this is just awesome news? The ONLY downside is that this won’t be accessible in the UK – boo!
