Have no doubt about it – all of us at IntoMobile love Opera Mini. It’s small, fast, and does the job much better than some other “full blown” mobile web browsers. So, it was kinda nice to read just how many people around the world agree with us and use the Java-based mobile web browser.

Opera MiniAccording to Opera Software’s newest release, in the two years since its worldwide launch, Opera Mini has achieved more than 35 million cumulative users. Every day, more than 100,000 people download Opera Mini to “discover how exciting the Web can be on their mobile phone.”

Commenting on the announcement, Opera’s CEO – Jon von Tetzchner, said, “Opera Mini proves that consumers have the power to change the industry. When you download Opera Mini, you cast a vote for a better mobile Web experience. Operators and device manufacturers all over the world have listened and are now helping to shape a new era of openness.”

Opera Mini’s great. It’s far from perfect but it’s a lot nearer than anything else I’ve tried (including Opera Mobile!)

Unfortunately I’ve recently fallen out of love with Opera on both my PC and Eee and never liked it on the DS.
