Ok, like Stefan said, we’re not going to bother calling it Mobile World Congress. It’s been called 3GSM in the past, and we’re not going to stop doing so.
Anyway, at 3GSM 2008 in Barcelona, Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) brought out their Windows Mobile-powered XPERIA X1 superphone. With that beautiful WVGA touchscreen display, 5megapixel camera, and WiFi, the SE XPERIA X1 is as top-of-the-line as it gets.
Convergence is what Sony Ericsson is aiming at with their XPERIA branding, and if the XPERIA X1 is any indicator of what’s to come, we can’t wait.

It has only 3.2MP. Other than that though, this phone is so frigging awesome!!!! I totally love it. I hope SE will set a trend and Nokia will start making VGA/WVGA now…
The sony ericsson xperia still isn’t as brute force as nokia so nokia won’t follo an inferior camera trend
I am already a Sony Ericsson convert, and can’t wait until this phone comes out. My good phone died recently, so I am managing on an oldie until the X1 becomes available… wish it wasn’t so far off!
The best camera phone I ever had was a sony ericsson, and I think it was only a 2mp. Pixels arent everything – my current phone is apparently 5mp, and is inferior to the Sony ericsson I had before.
I cant wait for this phone to come out.
i’m fond of holdin heavy mobiles in my hand n i cant w8 4 dis fone……its really awesome.this would b my 3rd mobile since i’ve started using mobiles n proud 2 use only SE…
