Symbian just announced their Q4 2007 and full year 2007 results, the numbers are certainly impressive. 77.3 million Symbian powered devices shipped in 2007, up 50% compared to 2006, yet revenues were up only 17% compared to last year coming in at 194.3 million British pounds (261 million euros; 378 million dollars). Around 7% of all phones sold in 2006 ran Symbian, but before anyone says that is a small number consider the fact that smartphones are still not as popular as feature phones, the majority of the world also uses sub 100 US dollar devices too. Will they be able to sustain growth with the flood of Linux platforms trying to scratch at their market share?

I hope so.
