T-Mobile to bring iPhone to AustriaWell, according to T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) Chief Executive Hamid Akhavan, the iPhone is headed to Austria. That’s Austria, as in Europe, not Australia, as in “down unda.”

Akhavan stated on Tuesday that,  Deutsche Telekom (NYSE: DT)’s T-Mobile would begin selling the iconic Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone in the first half of this year. That means we could see T-Mobile bringing the iPhone to the Austrian masses by this coming summer.

The deal would make sense as T-Mobile Germany already partnered up with Apple to bring the iPhone to Germany.

In other news, Akhavan also stated that T-Mobile would be releasing a Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Android-powered handset in Q4 2008. We can’t wait.

We’ll keep an ear out for the latest on this one, folks. Stay tuned.
