
File this under “it’s probably true, yet we can’t confirm it,” but according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) – it’s HTC which will make Xperia X1 for Sony Ericsson. The Taiwan based smartphone maker certainly has the needed experience in Windows Mobile device manufacturing and has already manufactured devices for other companies (Palm).
Still, I doubt we’ll hear any of the involved parties talking about it in public, and at this stage you can only believe it or not. At the end, it’s not that important who makes the device as long as it works perfectly…
