Nokia gamingLately, Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s mobile gaming division has been quite busy. We’ll try to recap all the things that happened during the last week or so. Let’s roll…

  • First we saw Nokia Games Publishing releasing Yamake, an easy to use set of tools that allows players to create their own games from a range of mini games. Users add text, pictures, audio and video clips to compile a new game, which later they can play or share with their buddies through N-Gage Arena. Full release is available from here.
  • Then, THQ Wireless announced it will bring Team17’s Worms World Party to N-Gage (release), while Glu Mobile unveiled initial line-up of its upcoming N-Gage titles. Three games were mentioned in the release – Speed Racer, Super Slam Ping Pong! and The Dark Knight.
  • Finally, PopCap Games announced it will bring “connected mobile Java games” to Nokia’s SNAP Mobile platform. Award-winning Chuzzle is the first game to be re-developed by PopCap under a multi-game agreement.

In the meantime, Nokia is showcasing (booth #5628) the latest in mobile gaming at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, California. Here’s the link to that release as well.
