UK: Toshiba close to launching handset with MNO

Toshiba (OTCPK: TOSBF) has announced it’s close to signing a deal with a UK MNO to take one or more of it’s new handsets (the ones launched at MWC). Tosh isn’t really well-known for handsets in UK, although some people may be familiar with it’s Portege range (a brand shared with it’s Laptop division). If this deal did come off, it would add to the distribution already rolled out with France Telecom for the G901.
Of all the devices (and my personal bet for the one the MNO will take), the G450 is the most interesting – I’ve mentioned it here before if you desire the detail, but simply, it’s an HSDPA USB modem, which is also an mp3 player and a phone!
Come on Tosh, let’s have the modem in the UK!
