Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Growth Partners, the VC’s internally who make sure Nokia is prepared for the future, have poured $1.55 million in Morpho, a Japanese company that specializes in using software to enhance both image and video capture in mobile phones. PhotoSolid is a solution that requires absolutely no new hardware, yet gives image stabilization as seen below. Motion (Face) Tracking, which Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) implemented in their latest Cybershot branded mobile phones, is also one of their talents.

I’ve seen, first hand at the Symbian Smartphone Show, the power of software combined with ridiculously fast processors, think OMAP 3, noticeably reduce image blur. Time will tell how long until these kind of solutions are actually integrated into future Nokia devices.

Hope its soon.
Me too.
That’s nice. Good that they are really making some other changes than just adding megapixels.
Nokia might kill SE’s Cameraphone market share !
But dont Nokia already have kill SE-cameraphones?
All my friends N95 and N82 take better pics then my friends SE-phones and that include video.
