Even if this firmware ends up being the one to play nice with official iPhone SDK application, I'm going to wait it out until the iPhone gods jailbreak this sucker.

Apple likely only released this firmware to try and throw a wrench in the iPhone community's jailbreak solutions. It's a good thing the iPhone Dev Team kept a secret jailbreak method on the backburner. I have a feeling that we won't be waiting too long after Apple drops the SDK on us before we have a fully jailbroken v1.1.4.

Wait until this firmware gets jailbroken, people. There won't be too many iPhone SDK apps initially anyway - it's not worth it until we can jailbreak it. That is, as long as this firmware is jailbreakable. Fingers crossed...

Unless the SDK uses this update, this is an attempt (futile) to keep the unlocking/jailbreaking in check - - for a few weeks. On the surface, it appears to be a useless update like many of the psp updates.

No better time to install it? How about right before the SDK comes out? That seems like it would be a good time to install it. Or even better, once they finally start coming out with some third party apps. Till then, I'm sticking with installer.app.

It'll be worth it when the SDK comes out and it only works with 1.1.4. No better time to suck it up and install it
