Ever wish you could tweak that Bluetooth shortcut button on your Windows Mobile smartphone to do something else? Do you just need an extra shortcut button? Well, you can re-program your Bluetooth shortcut button by adding it to your “Buttons” settings.
Here’s how you do it:
- Download this .rar file and extract it to your WinMo device.
- Use a Windows Mobile registry editor to import the registry keys.
If you want a bit more of a challenge, add these keys to your Windows Mobile device’s registry (from EtenBlog):
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C6
[String Value] @=”\”\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programmi\\Voice Commander\\Voice Commander.lnk\” -b”
[DWORD] “Flags”=dword:00000000
[DWORD] “WndCls”=””
[DWORD] “ResetFlag”=dword:00000009
[String Value] “Icon”=”\\windows\\BluetoothManager.exe, 0?
[String Value] “Name”=”Bluetooth Headset Button”
[String Value] “ResetCmd”=”\”\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programmi\\Voice Commander\\Voice Commander.lnk\” -b”
Either way, what you’ll end up with is a new “Buttons” settings menu that lets you re-program/re-assign the Bluetooth shortcut button to whatever function you please (Voice Commander, Camera, GPS, etc.).
