Push email finally working on iPhone - Yahoo! Push Email fix brings push to many
Posted by Will on Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 at 11:54 am under iPhone, Apple, Services, Announcements
When Yahoo! rolled out its push-email service (the only push email service specifically tailored and developed for the iPhone) oh so long ago, we were all a bit disappointed in the push service’s performance. Or, actually, it’s the lack of performance that left us in want of some push email.
Well, it seems that Yahoo! has made some server-side changes to their iPhone push email system, and we’re hearing reports that many iPhone users are getting their precious email pushed to their iPhone. Go try it out, your mileage may vary.
If push emails aren’t working for you right away, try:
- logging into your Yahoo! mobile email account and logging out
- delete and recreate Yahoo! email account on iPhone
- create a new Yahoo! email account
- restore your iPhone (if you dare)
Let us know how you like push email on your iPhone!

Google IMAP is awesome!
But, I think Yahoo! Push Email on the iPhone is an even better solution.
