iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak method from iPhone Dev Team
[Update 4]
ZiPhone 2.0 is now ready to make put all your jailbreaking woes to rest. ZiPhone 2.0 is available for Windows and Mac machines and is basically a GUI (graphical user interface) that uses the iPhone Dev Teams’ jailbreak solution to automate the iPhone v1.1.4 jailbreak process to point-and-click simplicity. Download ZiPhone 2.4 here.

This guide has been updated to reflect the new, easier process.

[Update 3]
Added a tip for jailbreaking iPhone v1.1.1 with jailbreakme.com.

[Update 2]
Jailbreakme.com has been updated. You no longer have to install Oktoprep prior to updating your jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1 to a jailbroken v1.1.2 firmware.

[Updated]
The final steps of this jailbreak guide have been appended with a simpler and less involved method. A new third-party application is available through Installer.app (AppSnapp). Namely, the new iJailbreakMobile application makes updating to v1.1.3 jailbreak a breeze.

With the release of iJailbreakMobile, this guide is better used as a “downgrade” guide for anyone that wishes to update their baseband or has already updated to v1.1.3. Jailbroken iPhone with v1.1.1 or v1.1.2 firmware can ignore most of these steps.

Okay, if you’re reading this, chances are that you’ve been scouring the web for some straight-up answers on how to upgrade your iPhone to the jailbroken v1.1.3 firmware. For the uninitiated, a “jailbroken/jailbreaked” firmware simply means that the particular firmware version is capable of installing and running unofficial third-party applications. The new iPhone v1.1.3 firmware is most likely the firmware that Apple will use to distribute their official iPhone SDK-based third-party application, and so jailbreaking the v1.1.3 firmware offers the best of both worlds – official and unofficial third-party native iPhone applications.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. This guide will walk you through the iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak process, and should work regardless of your current firmware version. This tutorial uses the iPhone Dev Team’s v1.1.3 jailbreak method, not Nate True’s leaked solution:

The following is the updated instruction set:

  • Download the iPhone v1.1.3 firmware package to your desktop.
    Download it here.
  • Download the ZiPhone 2.4 iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak package. (Choose the Mac or Windows version, you should know which one you need)
Download it here. (Make it easy, put it on your Desktop)
  • Make sure you backup your data. (Just sync your iPhone with iTunes)
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer and let iTunes start up.
  • Goto the iPhone pane in iTunes and hit the “update” button.
At this time, the iPhone v1.1.4 firmware is available through iTunes, so iTunes will likely want to upgrade your iPhone to v1.1.4 – DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

    • If you iTunes wants to update your iPhone to v1.1.4, press “Cancel.”
    • Force your iPhone to restore itself to v1.1.3 by holding down the “Option” key while click “Restore” (Mac) or holding down the “Shift” key as you click “Restore.”
    • Choose the iPhone v1.1.3 firmware package that you downloaded to your desktop.
  • Quit iTunes.
  • Fire up ZiPhone.
  • Check the appropriate boxes and jailbreak/unlock/activate your iPhone v1.1.3.
  • Enjoy! (Props to the iPhone Dev Team and Zibri!)

Keep reading if you feel like checking out the older iPhone v1.1.3 jailbreak process.

  • Make sure you backup your data. You will be “restoring” your iPhone several times.
  • You need a WiFi connection which your iPhone and computer both share (they need to be on the same network).
  • Your iPhone needs 300MB of free space.
  • Even iPhones previously jailbroken using Nate True’s method can be re-jailbroken with this more stable method.
  • AT&T (NYSE: T), O2 (NYSE: TEF) UK, T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) Germany, Orange France customers can update their baseband to take advantage of iPhone v1.1.3’s new features. To do this, simply update your iPhone to v1.1.3 via iTunes. Unlocked customers will want to avoid this step.
  • Proceed slowly and carefully, some steps take time and you just need to be patient.

Here’s what you’ll need before we start (put everything on your desktop):

Mac users -

Windows users -

Starting with a factory/non-jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1

(in which we’ll discuss how to downgrade your v1.1.2 or v1.1.3 iPhone to the non-jailbroken v1.1.1 starting point). Jailbroken iPhones using v1.1.1 or v1.1.2 firmwares will want to skip this step:

  1. Download the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone v1.1.1 firmware here. Place it on your desktop
  2. Connect your iPhone to iTunes
  3. Place your iPhone in DFU restore mode by holding down the “Home” and “Power” buttons simultaneously. You’ll see the “Slide to turn off” button, keep holding those buttons
  4. Wait until the screen goes black and release only the “Power” button – keep pressing the “Home” button. iTunes will recognize that the iPhone is in restore mode – the screen should be black. If you see the “Connect to iTunes” image, restart at Step 3 until you enter DFU restore mode. Again, if you do this correctly, you’ll have a completely blacked-out screen while iTunes recognizes your iPhone in restore mode
  5. Restore your iPhone to v1.1.1 firmware by holding down the “Option” key and clicking the “Restore” button (Mac OS X), or holding down the “Shift” key while clicking the “Restore” button (Windows)
  6. Navigate and choose the iPhone v1.1.1 firmware file on your desktop (iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw)
  7. If you immediately get an error “(1)” you need to make sure you enter DFU restore mode – go back to Step 3
  8. Let iTunes do its thing, you will get an error (1015) or (1013), that’s okay, it’s supposed to happen
  9. Apply the iPhone v1.1.1 firmware again to ensure that the firmware “took”
  10. At the error (1015) or (1013) prompt, you’ll notice that your iPhone is in restore mode and iTunes doesn’t want anything to do with it. Quit iTunes.
  11. At this point, fire up iNdependence (Mac) or iBrickr (Windows) and wait a tick for it to pull your iPhone out of restore mode (it takes 30 seconds to a minute)
  12. You should now be staring at a “Activate iPhone” screen. Quit iNdependence or iBrickr

Jailbreak your iPhone v1.1.1 firmware

Non-jailbroken (factory fresh iPhones) with v1.1.1 firmware start here:

  1. Slide the “Slide for Emergency” slider.
  2. Dial “*#307#” without quotes, obviously.
  3. Hit “Call”
  4. Delete the numbers and dial “0″
  5. Hit “Call”
  6. Hit “Answer”
  7. Hit “Hold”
  8. Hit “Decline”
  9. Choose the “Contacts” tab and add a new contact by hitting the “+” button in the upper right corner
  10. Hit “Add new URL”
  11. Add “prefs:” and save
  12. Hit “Add new URL” again
  13. Add “http://jailbreakme.com” and save
  14. Save the contact as “Z” or whatever you feel like naming it
  15. Hit the “prefs:” URL
  16. Navigate to “General” > “Auto-lock” and choose “Never
  17. Connect to your WiFi network, enter password if required
  18. Press the “Home” button and you’ll be back at the “Activate iPhone” screen
  19. Slide that “Slide for Emergency” slider again
  20. Dial “0″
  21. Hit “Answer”
  22. Hit “Hold”
  23. Hit “Decline”
  24. Choose your newly added contact
  25. Hit the “http://jailbreakme.com” URL. This will open up Safari
  26. Scroll down to “Install AppSnapp” and hit it
  27. Safari will close, you’ll be taken back to the “Activate iPhone” screen, wait until your iPhone reboots. If you are still staring at the “Activate iPhone” screen after 5 minutes, go back to Step 19. (TIP: as you wait for jailbreakme.com to finish the jailbreak, keep playing with the activation screen slider – keep sliding it halfway to keep the iPhone from turning off before jailbreakme.com has a chance to reboot the device)
  28. iPhone will reboot to a freshly jailbroken v1.1.1 firmware with Installer.app/AppSnapp installed. You did good.

[Update] Here are the revised instructions. iJailbreakMobile makes upgrading your jailbroken v1.1.1 iPhone a simple, one-click process.

You can ignore the rest of the instructions after this section. iJailbreakMobile only requires that you have a jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1. If you followed the instructions in the previous section, you should have a jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1.

If you wish to upgrade to jailbroken iPhone v1.1.2 firmware before running iJailbreakMobile, skip this section and follow the instruction in the next section.

  1. Fire up Installer.app (AppSnapp).
  2. Make sure you have “BSD Subsystem” installed. If not, do so now.
  3. Add http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plist to your “Source” list. If you don’t know how, check out our tutorial
  4. Refresh your “Source”
  5. You should now see a new application category called “iJailbreak”
  6. Within the “iJailbreak” category, choose the iJailbreakMobile v1.1.1 installer
  7. Hit the “Home” button to return to your homescreen
  8. Find the new icon “iJailbreak” and run it
  9. Wait for at least 45 minutes before you do anything. The iJailbreakMobile application has to download the entire 160MB iPhone v1.1.3 firmware from Apple, decompress it, patch your iPhone, and do other jailbreaking magic, so this process can take a while.
  10. Your device will reboot once iJailbreak is done doing its thing. You should have a jailbroken iPhone v1.1.3 at this point. If not, just go back and try uninstalling/reinstalling iJailbreak and running it again.
  11. That’s it! The instructions below pertain to the older jailbreak method that required a good amount of terminal-command work, and can be a little intimidating. If you like a challenge, use the below instructions in place of iJailbreak.

Preparing your jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1 for upgrade/update to jailbroken iPhone v1.1.2

If you’d rather update your iPhone to a jailbroken v1.1.2 firmware before running iJailbreakMobile, then follow the instructions in this step.

Jailbroken iPhones with v1.1.1 firmware start here:

  1. Fire up “Installer.app” (aka AppSnapp)
  2. Update the “Installer.app” application
  3. Navigate to “Tweaks 1.1.1″
  4. Download and install the “Oktoprep” package (Update: Ensure that it’s installed)
  5. Navigate to “General” > “Auto-lock” and choose “Never
  6. Open up iTunes
  7. Update (DO NOT Restore)your iPhone by holding down “Option” while clicking “UPDATE” (Mac), or hold down “Shift” while clicking “UPDATE” (Windows) – DO NOT RESTORE
  8. Navigate to and choose the iPhone v1.1.2 firmware (iPhone1,1_1.1.2_3B48b_Restore.ipsw)
  9. When iTunes is done updating to v1.1.2, you will be stuck in restore mode (if not, then continue). If you are stuck in restore mode, fire up iNdependence (Mac) or iBrickr (Windows) to pull your iPhone out of restore mode (as we did previously)
  10. You will be returned to the “Emergency Call” screen – the logo is different, don’t worry
  11. Quit iNdependence or iBrickr
  12. Quit iTunes
  13. Remember that “1.1.2-jailbreak” package you downloaded to your desktop? Yea, open that up and double-click “jailbreak.jar” (Mac) or “windows.bat” (Windows)
  14. After a couple minutes, the java application will finish up and hopefully reboot your iPhone. If you get to the completion dialog box and your iPhone is not rebooting (wait a bit before you take action, this stuff takes time), fire up iNdependence (Mac) or iBrickr (Windows) to return to the homescreen
  15. Your iPhone will probably reboot again, let it
  16. Once rebooted, you will have a jailbroken iPhone v1.1.2

[Update] Here are the revised instructions. iJailbreakMobile makes upgrading your jailbroken v1.1.2 iPhone a simple, one-click process.

If you’ve decided to upgrade to jailbroken iPhone v1.1.2 firmware, then the instructions in this section are all you need to update your iPhone to a jailbroken v1.1.3 firmware. If you’d rather do things manually (through terminal commands) then skip this step.

  6. Within the “iJailbreak” category, choose the iJailbreakMobile v1.1.2 installer

  1. Finally someone puts it in one place for everyone, thanks :)

  2. jason says:

you forgot to mention that you have to install BSD subsystem before you can install the ijailbreak application

  3. chris says:

The process went through fine until the end. When ijailbreak was done installing and rebooted, the phone went into recovery mode itunes told me i need to restore it. Anyone else have this problem?

  4. ee says:

where are the set of instructions Gor starting from a regular v1.1.3 firmware? You make the claim to be providing this yet none of the instructions say they’ll do this.

  5. Will Park says:

Try using iNdependence to pull it out of restore mode. Just fire it up and wait a minute.

    Good luck!

  6. Will Park says:

    ee:

If you want to start with a v1.1.3 iPhone, start at the beginning of this tutorial. iPhone’s running the v1.1.3 firmware will need to downgrade their devices before they can jailbreak.

The very first step is intended for those iPhone users that need to “Downgrade” their device.

  7. r0dskee says:

the thing i dont get with this is ive tried and tried with 4 different guides when i get to the activation screen it says incorrect sim is that right? when i do the #306# it says please wait and then when i dial 0 it says called failed.!! this is the only problem ive had with anyones method and its making me insane can someone please give me some help

  8. r0dskee says:

    running the “stock” 1.1.3 btw

  9. Will Park says:

I assume you are running in to problems after downgrading to v1.1.1

As soon as you restart your iPhone v1.1.1, you will be looking at the activation screen/emergency call screen.

Dial *#307# NOT #306# – you have to insert a “*” in front of the first “#”
    Hit Call
Delete the numbers and dial “0″ (zero)
    Hit Call
    Hit Answer
    Hit Hold
    Hit Decline
    Choose Contacts

You should be able to bypass activation with this method. Make sure you are doing everything to the “T” as it were.

  10. r0dskee says:

will: thank you so much man i was going insane after trying this about 30 times i figured out (well you did actually) on my laptop screen i couldnt see the asterisk also when i did prefs i didnt see the colon…anyway thanks again i see the light u r0ck dude =D

  11. r0dskee says:

will one more question if you’re around i got through the entire thing but i wait the 5 minutes and the phone does not reboot and after a forced reboot i get the initial activation screen as if starting from square one…any thoughts?

  12. Will Park says:

So after you successfully go and start up jailbreakme.com, the iPhone does not reboot?

If you are stuck back at the emergency dialer, here’s a little tip (I’ll append the guide to reflect this as well):
While Jailbreakme.com is doing it’s thing, you’ll be returned to the locked homescreen – keep fiddling with the slider to prevent the iPhone from turning off.

I ran into this problem where my iPhone v1.1.1 would not reboot correctly after running jailbreakme.com. I prevented my iPhone from turning off by sliding the slider halfway across the slider-bar (is that enough “slider” for ya?).

Also, make sure you have installed the v1.1.1 firmware with “3A109a” in the filename. Hope this helps.

  13. Robert says:

THX MAN U SAVE MY ASS.

    THX LOVE U

  14. Will Park says:

No problemo, that’s what we do here

  15. Thanks for the final updates.

  16. Lasse says:

When I add your repository to my sources list it jsut ends up in the uncatagorized section, and nothing is added under install, I have tried refreshing sources and checking for typos a hundred times?

  17. Lasse says:

Also, where can you get the installer v3.0b10 ? I can’t seem to figure out how to upgrade to that version from basic v 3.0?

  18. Will Park says:

iJailbreakMobile shows up as its own category. Look for iJailbreak under the “Categories” section.

You can update your Insaller.app to 3b10 by “updating” your Installer.app. Hit the “update” tab and it should automatically detect the new version.

  19. bigmike says:

I have had a jail-broken Iphone for months now. Everything was flawless. I went to the installer app, and saw the 1.1.3 official upgrader. From the description i saw it said for already jail-broken 1.1.2 phone. Like a NOOB i clicked to install. The upgrade app was on the springboard. I opened the app, everything ran its course and it asked me to reconnect to itunes and when I did it says this: There is a problem with your iPhone

We’re sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for me information.

WTF. Is there anything i can do(other than the obvious). Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  20. bigmike says:

I am a NOOB. I just restored it

  21. Dom says:

Hey dont worry about it ,you can get out of it easy ,power it off then hold the power and home button untill you see the apple ,upon seing the apple release power button until it gets to dfu open itune ,shift click restore (make sure you have th ipsw files to downgrade it ,im sure you do ,downgrade it to 1.1.1 go throught the 1015 error ,reboot rejailbreak ,if you have 0049 emei let me know ill tell you what to do

I had unix command at one point running on my iphone up and down for half an hour and i restored it ,be positive .cheers dom

  23. justin says:

after upgrading my unlocked iphone to 1.1.2 then to 1.1.3 programs in the installer keep comming up failed. i would imagine that some are not compatible with the new firmware, my question is, am i right or did something go wrong.

  24. Will Park says:

Some games still need to be updated to work with iPhone v1.1.3 firmware. I think the problem is that the v1.1.3 firmware runs applications as user “mobile” rather than older firmware’s “root”.

Just be patient. Many apps do work, but there are a good number that don’t. They’ll be updated soon.

  25. Dom says:

    Hey guys,

Looks good, seriously you guys are doing the world a favor. Hope people are donating.
Question- I have a 1.1.1 jailbroken phone and have tried to update to 1.1.2 and it just keeps failing.. anyway finally found your way. I have just downloaded the ijailbreak program and opened it and its on a terminal screen. Is that normal? do I wait the 45 minutes on this terminal screen?

Might be something else others ask also. Just a little concerned i shouldn’t type ‘run’ or something into it. One last question. I assume that a non ATnT sim will work in it after i update to jailbroken 1.3? Im in Australia so its kinda important as you can imagine.

  26. Dom says:

PS- it is a blank terminal screen. It just states ‘Last login: blah lah on ttyp0

    Not exactly doing anything

  27. Tyler says:

So i just jail broke it for the third time ….
    What happend:
all goes smoothly until iJailbreak. I run it wait 45 min it resets and then when it comes on again its bricked… I connect it to iBrickr and it is red for … 2 seconds and then goes green…

any clue on how to fix this???>>>…

  28. Mark says:

Uh, everything works fine except I cant use the phone part… Im not even unlocking I am an att customer but it says no service after doing the ijailbreak method

  29. Nick says:

I ran through this on an OOTB 1.1.2 AT&T not jail broken. I upgraded to 1.1.3 as stated in the document then I downgraded to 1.1.1 and at the main screen I had the sim error. I went through and jail broke it. All went OK then I ran the 1.1.1 to 1.1.3 ijailbreakme file then ran the ijailbreak from the home screen it went through and everything looked OK phone rebooted and it went to recovery mode. Tried to use iBrickr to reboot it and it came up green had to restore in iTunes to 1.1.3 and now I’m back to working but obviously not jail broken, what did I miss?

  30. Will Park says:

Hey guys, if the ijailbreak method is giving you problems, I would suggest that you use the older jailbreak method. Simply skip the italicized instruction set.

The older method takes a bit of command terminal work, but it’s a sure thing. Make sure to download all the “things you’ll need before you begin” packages before you begin.

  31. Mark says:

the ijailbreak method isnt giving me any problems at all, my iphone is a fully jailbroken 1.1.3 ipod touch, the only problem is the phone is the best part. I completely restored my iphone and started over and did Ijailbreak again and once again it worked completely except for the phone working, and I am an att customer no unlocking is involved. Should I try the second half of the old jailbreak process? It says not neccessary because of Ijailbreak but when i run ijailbreak it doesnt do it will it mess with my phone if i do it again?

  32. nikedunk says:

Just for the record im a noob. Im running a v1.1.3 firmware and was just wondering if this method posted will work on that version thanks in advance.

  33. Mark says:

Yes it will just start at the first step, where you download the 1.1.1 firmware then continue from there (you will need to downgrade to 1.1.1 then jailbreak then you will be able to upgrade and jailbreak the next two versions)

But I cant say for certain if the phone part will work cause mine isnt :( .

  34. nikedunk says:

is there a for sure method that will jailbreak 1.1.3 and have the phone working? Anything with a 100% success rate?

  35. Will Park says:

Mark, have you tried the older jailbreak method? I can confirm that the older jailbreak method will restore phone-function to the iPhone. I can’t say for certain whether it is safe to use the “restore phone function” step after performing the ijailbreak.

To be safe, I would say just use the terminal-command based jailbreak method.

AGAIN. if ijailbreak is giving you problems, go through the tutorial and ignore the italicized directions.

  36. falanke says:

I tried the “iJailbreakMobile from my jailbroken v1.1.1 iPhone” process. Everything worked fine until the iPhone rebooted at the end. My iPhone got bricked.

What happened? Anyone can help? What should I do next?

  37. popajim says:

falanke, i had the same exact problem. i tried getting it out of restore mode. i couldnt. i tried ibrickr .91 and i also tried jailbreak 1.1.2 boot from recovery. neither worked. i am still stumped on why it did not work. i also did the ijailbreakmobile from my 1.1.1 firmware. i have been trying for over 2 weeks. what version of baseband are you working with?

  38. Tyler says:

So ijailbreak worked with the v1.2 sept the phone feature. Im trying to get cmd to run command

“chmod +x ~/Desktop/lockdownd” Dont know why this wont work but it wont locate the lockdownd file… any answers?

  39. Deuce says:

I’ve got a phone that was 1.1.2 out of the box and I updated to 1.1.3 when I activated it because I didn’t know any better. Does this method work on phones that were 1.1.2 from the get-go?

  40. Robert says:

I have a problem and I desperately need help with it.

I got a new iPhone with an intergrated 1.1.2 firmware. I sent it to someone to jailbreak and give it phone functionality. He used an X-sim. However, without knowing any better i upgraded to 1.1.3 and i lost all access to my phone. I managed to restore to 1.1.1, jailbreak it, upgrade to 1.1.2 and jailbreak it as well. Everything works now but now I can’t call people or send sms cause the phone doesn’t recognize the sim even with iWorld installed. Also, my baseband is stuck at 04.03.13_G. I’ve tried downgrading it with baseband downgrader but it always crashes.

Can anyone help me? Does iJailbreak help with this? I dont want to use iJailbreak just yet cause i heard that there are some issues with it. Thanks a lot.

    Hi guys,

I have a jailbroken/unlocked 1.1.1 (3A109a) iPhone working with T-Mobile in the US atm and am really wanting to upgrade to the 1.1.3 firmware. So far, this is the most comprehensive and coherent guide I could find to upgrade but my question is whether or not it’s possible to do on my iPhone without losing phone functionality with T-mobile.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello everyone! I’m very excited I found this website through countless hours of searching the internet to find a way to download/upgrade/jailbreak etc my phone to get all the cool 3rd party apps everyone has been talking about. I just need to know if the process Will describes at the beginning is for my iphone version 1.1.3. I’ve had it a few weeks now and all the v1.1.1/v1.1.2/v1.1.3 is confusing the hell out of me. I’m assuming the “v” infront of all the 1.1.1, 1.1.2. 1.1.3 stands for version. Is this correct? I guess my question is will this “iPhone v1.1.3 Jailbreak Guide – update from v1.1.1/v1.1.2/v1.1.3 to jailbroken v1.1.3″
process work for my iphone version 1.1.3 that I bought a few weeks ago? I’m pretty confident I’m on the right website for getting apps etc but would like some reassurance that it will work for my phone. I would greatly appreciate a reply tonight if possible so I can start working on my phone.
Thanks so much for your help in advance!

    Jason:
If you recently purchased your iPhone, you have to downgrade your iPhone to v1.1.1 as this guide states in the first step.

    NiceGuyJSK:
Which unlock method did you use? I don’t want to say outright that you will be okay, but if you follow the jailbreak update procedure, you’re unlock should be restore/update resistant.

    Robert:
This guide is only for jailbreaking your phone. In order to restore phone functionality with a non-official SIM card, you will need to unlock it. Check out this post – http://www.intomobile.com/2008/02/07/unlock-your-iphone-v113-to-work-with-any-sim-card.html

    Deuce:
This method should work with OTB v1.1.2 iPhones. You will need to downgrade the firmware beforehand.

    Tyler:
Did you place the lockdownd file on your desktop?

    falanke:
Try restoring your iPhone. Does iBrickr or Independence recognize the iPhone at all? My condolences, as with all iPhone hacking methods, there is an inherent risk of bricking your iPhone. I’m sorry that this happened to you.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in responses. I’m in Barcelona right now for Mobile World Congress/3GSM.

  44. NiceGuyJSK says:

    Hey Will,

Thanks for the quick response! I believe I used anySIM 1.1 to unlock my iPhone when I got it a few months back but I can’t remember for 100% certainty. Is there a particular unlock method that would brick my iPhone, had I used it? Thanks again for the help!

  45. Jason says:

    Will:
So your saying I need to start at the “Starting with a factory/non-jailbroken iPhone v1.1.1″ Stage and work my way down the page until I end up at iJailbreakMobile, Correct? If that’s correct I’ve been right the whole time just wanted to be sure. The last thing I wanted to do was brick my phone useless.
    Thanks for the heads up!!

  46. Jason says:

Will someone please help me I keep getting stuck at the prefs part. I hit the prefs url but it tells me safari can’t be connected and it wont let me navigate to generals > Auto lock to choose never. My phone keeps getting stuck right there and then I have to start over from the beggining. Please Help!!

  47. Jason says:

    Will,
how do you navigate to generals to never auto lock my phone. I can’t seem to get past this part and I’ve tried 10 times now and everytime my safari wont connect. Can you please help tonight I need this phone for work tomorrow.
    Thanks

  48. Jason says:

    Will,
Nevermind I figured it out. I couldn’t see the : colon after prefs.

  49. Jason says:

    Will,
I’m in the Categories section and scrolled down to iJailbreakmobile, hit that and then hit iJailbreakmobile 1.1.1 and hit install at the top right and it keeps telling me “error you must install BSD Subsystems package first. How do I do this?
I’m sorry for all the messages. If you can help ASAP I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks!!!

  50. Jason says:

    Will,
I finally got everything downloaded on my iphone. Thank you for that but now I can’t make a phone call or receive a call. Why is that? It’s important I figure this out by tomorrow morning for work.
    Please help ASAP.
